Real time implementation of interval type-2 fuzzy logic based damping controller for wind integrated power system

Abstract: In this paper, the real time simulation results using an interval type-2 fuzzy logic based damping controller of wind integrated power system is presented. The fundamental control block of the employed SATCOM includes the proposed damping controller to reduce the damping oscillations/fluctuations. Real time digital simulations (RTDS) are developed using OPAL-RT real time simulator in order to show the effectiveness of the proposed fuzzy control technique. The real time simulator (RTS) lab consists of two targe… Show more

“…A super-twisting sliding mode is proposed with MSC to regulate the DC-link voltage and improve the LVRT capability (Nasiri et al, 2019). The interval type-2 fuzzy logic control (FLC) method to enhance the PMSG’s dynamic performance and the LVRT capability during one-phase and three-phase faults in the presence of a braking chopper (BC) system was proposed (Anil Naik, 2021; Gencer, 2019; Metwally Mahmoud et al, 2021). In literature (Nasiri et al, 2015), the authors have used a BC to improve the LVRT capability of PMSG-based wind energy generation at a voltage dip event (Mahmoud et al, 2019a).…”
