Real‐Time Drug Delivery System Tracked Through an Optical Microfiber: Supporting Interface of Metal‐Organic‐Framework (Part. Part. Syst. Charact. 2/2022)
Abstract:In article number 2100221, Sun, Ma, and co‐workers study all‐optical configuration that opens a research direction for rapid, repeatable, and susceptible detection of drugs loading and release. The sensing mechanism of the optic‐fiber drug delivery system uses the refractive index change caused by the light‐matter interaction to monitor the nano‐scale drug delivery and release process in the porous membrane in real‐time, showing excellent stability and acid‐triggered drug release.
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
