Real Driving Emission from Vehicle Fuelled by Petrol and Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG)

Abstract: In recent years, in addition to laboratory tests to determine emissions from road motor vehicles, tests in real driving conditions RDE (Real Driving Emissions) with the use of portable measuring equipment PEMS (Portable Emissions Measurement System) have been conducted. The paper presents the results of the emission research conducted on a vehicle Dacia Duster 1.0 TCe 100 ECO-G fuelled by petrol Eurosuper 95 and liquefied petroleum gas (LPG). The aim of the research was to determine the emissions of harmful su… Show more

“…The objective function is a minimization of CO2 emissions or consumption, so the optimization prefers medium and higher power classes in which the internal combustion engine works more efficiently. On the other hand, the highest classes generate high NOx emissions, which in this case are not penalized because they are not covered by the objective function (14). The distribution of traction energy, emissions, and consumption for the hybrid vehicle under the RDE cycle is graphically depicted in Figure 7A All emissions and energy shares are expressed relative to the emissions of a nonhybrid vehicle and to the positive traction energy of each cycle.…”

“…The most significant advantage of HEVs compared with fully electric vehicles (EVs) is their superior range over a single charge and their fast refueling, which is achieved by using chemical energy instead of electrical [12]. Hybrid electric vehicles together form a key solution for increasing efficiency and lowering emissions and a viable strategy for developing countries> This is particularly so with the use of environmentally friendly, synthetic CO 2 -neutral fuels at an affordable price [13] or with the use of alternative fuels, such as LPG, which have significantly lower emissions and a lower CO 2 footprint [14]. Such power trains will certainly find their application in heavy trucks for long distances, special purpose vehicles or off-road and military vehicles [15,16].…”

“…In addition to aesthetic issues, the accuracy, surface quality and mass of parts are also important for the operation of fittings (Takacs, 2023). Another benefit is that improved surface qualities can often reduce friction losses and increase the wear resistance (Kovács et al, 2022), leading to lower emissions (Bagdi et al, 2023;Garai et al, 2020;Vučetić et al, 2022;).…”

“…It is important because lots of vehicles are on the roads and fuel consumption / vehicles' global warming impact and drag coefficient of the vehicle are in strong connection (Vučetić et al, 2022). Therefore, low drag coefficient is essential to keep the environmental pollution at a low level, which is studied by several papers (Matijošius et al, 2022).…”
