Abstract:The reactions of recoil Τ atoms with liquid chloroethylenes lead to average yields of 9% inorganic T, 4% HT, 24% (Cj + C 2 ) compounds and 63% polymers. The (C, + C 4 ) compounds are mainly formed through reactions of energetic Τ atoms, either by direct substitution or by more complex reaction sequences. I 2 increases the yield of T + to 47 % and decreases the yield of polymers to 26%, indicating that about 40% of the reactions proceeds via thermal Τ atom addition.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
