Reactions of organo-rhodium complexes with multidentate N,N and N,S-heterocycles and exchange studies by NMR

Abstract: a b s t r a c t a r t i c l e i n f oIn the present study, we demonstrate the self transformation of aqueous cadmium acetate into CdCO 3 nanowires through hydrothermal reaction. The reaction temperature and the volume ratio of water to ethanol were found to be crucial for the formation of CdCO 3 nanowires. The nanowires are of single crystal in nature having width ∼ 17-30 nm as observed from selected area electron diffraction (SAED) pattern and transmission electron microscopic (TEM) results. The major weight … Show more

“…Herein we disclose the first extension of the concept of hemichelation8a to Rh I centers with an hemichelating ambiphilic anionic ligand of electronic properties chosen so as to promote structural cohesion by non‐covalent intermetallic interactions. Unprecedented cases of 14 electron, T‐shaped Rh I complexes1gk, 2d stabilized by hemichelation are reported and the underlying issues of bonding analyzed by state‐of‐the‐art methods using dispersion‐accounting density functional theory9 (DFT‐D).…”

“…Transition metal complexes based on nitrogen heterocycles with benzimidazole rings have been studied extensively [1][2][3][4][5]. Some of the Cu(II) complexes show good catalytic activity, particularly toward the synthetically important oxidation of substituted phenols [6].…”
