Reach of Fermilab Tevatron upgrades for SU(5) supergravity models with nonuniversal gaugino masses

Abstract: We explore the reach of luminosity upgrades of the Fermilab Tevatron collider for SU(5) supergravity models in which non-universal GUT-scale gaugino masses arise via a vacuum expectation value for the auxiliary component of a superfield that transforms as a 24, 75 or 200 dimensional representation of SU(5). This results in a different pattern of sparticle masses and mixing angles from what is expected in the minimal supergravity (MSUGRA) model with universal GUT scale gaugino masses. We find that the resulting… Show more

“…More generally, the gauge kinetic function need only transform at the symmetric product of two adjoints. In this more general case, if the auxiliary field that breaks supersymmetry also breaks the grand unification gauge symmetry, GUT scale gaugino mass parameters need not unify [48]. Non-unified masses also occur in models of gaugino-mediated SUSY breaking [49] and in various string-motivated models [50].…”

“…This topic has been discussed in several works (see for example, Refs. [19,20,21] and the references therein). For the present analysis we assume nonuniversality of gaugino masses and impose unification of gauge coupling constants at the GUT scale.…”
