Abstract:Amelogenesis imperfecta (AI) is a disorder of genetic origin, linked to the amelogenin gene, which presents developmental abnormalities in the quantity and quality of tooth enamel. The main clinical problems are the extensive loss of dental tissue, occlusal problems, impaired aesthetics, tooth sensitivity and gingival inflammation.
