BackgroundResearch indicates expectant and new mothers use the Internet, specifically social media, to gain information and support during the transition to parenthood. Although parents regularly share information about and photos of their child or children on Facebook, researchers have neither explored the use of Facebook to share pregnancy-related information nor investigated factors that influence such sharing.ObjectiveThe aim of this study was to address a gap in the literature by exploring the use of Facebook by pregnant women. Specifically, the study examined the use of Facebook to share pregnancy-related information, as well as any association between prenatal attachment and the aforementioned aspects of sharing pregnancy-related information on Facebook.MethodsPregnant women who were at least 18 years of age were recruited for participation in the study through posts and paid advertisements on Facebook and posts to professional organization listservs. Individuals interested in participating were directed to a secure Web-based survey system where they completed the consent form and the survey that focused on their current pregnancy. Participants completed the Maternal Antenatal Attachment Scale and answered questions that assessed how often they shared pregnancy-related information on Facebook, who they shared it with, why they shared it, and what they shared.ResultsA total of 117 pregnant women completed the survey. Descriptive statistics indicated that the pregnancy announcement was most commonly shared (75/108, 69.4%), with most women sharing pregnancy-related information on Facebook less than monthly (52/117, 44.4%) with only family and friends (90/116, 77.6% and 91/116, 78.4%, respectively) and for the purpose of involving others or sharing the experience (62/107, 57.9%). Correlation and regression analyses showed that prenatal attachment, in general, was positively and significantly related to all aspects of sharing pregnancy-related information at the P<.05 level, with the exception of sharing because of expectations. Quality of attachment, which involves the positive feelings the woman has about her unborn child, was significantly associated with sharing to involve others or share the pregnancy (t8,93=2.654 , P=.009). In contrast, after controlling for other variables, the strength or preoccupation component of prenatal attachment was significantly associated with frequency of sharing (t8,100=2.554 , P=.01), number to types of information shared (t8,97=2.605 , P=.01), number of groups with whom shared (t8,99=3.467, P=.001), and sharing to get advice (χ28=5.339 , P=.02).ConclusionsPregnant women in this study used Facebook for a variety of reasons, demonstrating the use of the social media platform during pregnancy for supportive and informational purposes. Overall, the results of this study are likely to be useful to professionals who are seeking alternative methods for providing intervention, information, and support to pregnant women via social media in our technology-driven society.

Penelitian ini merupakan penelitian kuantitatif non-eksperimental dengan metode korelasional. Fenomena Angka Kematian Ibu (AKI) yang tinggi di Indonesia, khususnya di Purwakarta, menjadi dasar dilakukannya penelitian dimana adanya kelekatan ibu dan janin merupakan salah satu variabel yang dapat mencegah angka kematian ibu hamil. Penelitian ini ingin mengetahui apakah terdapat hubungan antara persepsi dukungan keluarga (perceived family support) terhadap kelekatan ibu dan janin. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Kabupaten Purwakarta dengan mengadaptasi alat ukur Maternal Fetal Attachment dan Perceived Social Support from Family yang kemudian diberikan pada 120 responden. Teknik analisis yang digunakan pada penelitian ini adalah teknik regresi linear dengan program SPSS versi 16.0. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa terdapat terdapat korelasi yang signifikan pada persepsi dukungan keluarga terhadap kelekatan ibu dan janin (p<0,01) dengan kontribusi sebesar 9 persen. Selain itu, terdapat pula temuan tambahan dari analisis statistik lintas tabulasi data demografi responden terhadap kelekatan ibu dan janin yaitu terdapat pengaruh tingkat pendidikan terhadap kelekatan ibu dan janin. Maka dari itu, penelitian ini menyimpulkan bahwa persepsi dukungan keluarga berpengaruh secara signifikan terhadap kelekatan ibu dan janin, serta pengaruh variabel pendidikan terhadap kelekatan ibu-jann perlu dikaji lebih lanjut.

Elméleti háttér: Az 1980-as évektől kutatják az "anyai környezet" magzati fejlődésre gyakorolt hatását, ám az eredmények nem konzekvensek az anya-magzat kapcsolatot befolyásoló tényezőket illetően. Cél: Magyar mintán kialakítani egy anya-magzat kapcsolatot mérő kérdőívet, valamint feltárni az intrauterin kötődésben meghatározó szerepet játszó jellegzetességeket. Módszerek: 114, 15 és 38 gesztációs hét közötti várandós anya vett részt a kutatásban, kitöltve az Intrauterin Kapcsolati Kérdőívet, a Maternal Fetal Attachment Scale magyar változatát (MFAS-HU), az Intimitás és a Szülői Bánásmód Kérdőívet. Ered mények: A kialakított 28 tételes Intrauterin Kapcsolati Kérdőív (IUKK) faktorstruktúrája illeszkedési mutatókban az elvárások alatt marad (RMSEA = 0,08; χ 2 /df = 1,645; NFI = 0,85; CFI = 0,87). A 8 alskála Cronbach-alfa értékei 0,56-0,93 közöttiek. Explorátoros faktorelemezéssel sikerült egy jó kommunalitási tulajdonságokkal rendelkező rövidebb modellt kialakítani (IUKK-R), amely 12 tételt és 3 alskálát tartalmaz (RMSEA = 0,08; χ 2 /df = 1,660; NFI = 0,95; CFI = 0,96). Az IUKK-R Cronbach-alfa értékei magasak: 0,81-0,93. Elemzéseinkhez az IUKK-R modellt használtuk. Kérdőívünk korrelál az MFAS-HU-val, ugyanakkor a megragadott magzati kötődés dimenzióik nem teljesen átfedőek. A nemzetközi tapasztalatokkal nagyjából összhangban, az anya-magzat kapcsolat erősségében szignifikánsan magasabb értéket ér el az anya, ha bármelyik tényező jellemzi: házasságban él; magasabb az anyagi hozzájárulása a családi kasszához; nem volt korábban spontán vetélése, ő maga beavatkozástól mentesen, természetes módon született; biztosan tudja, vagy nem tudja a magzat nemét. Nem befolyásol a várandósság ideje, az iskolai végzettség, a várandósság tervezettsége, a fogantatás módja, a meglévő gyermekek száma és a magzatmozgás észlelése. A magzati kötődés összefügg a párkapcsolati intimitással: az észlelt gondoskodás kedvezőbb, míg az észlelt kontroll kedvezőtlenebb anya-magzat kötődéssel
