“…To improve its reliability as a monitoring well, on March 9, 1989, well 199-N-3 was rehabilitated, exposing an additi onal 18.2 ft of screened casing. The fluctuating water-table in the area would occasionally drop below a depth at which well 199-N-3 could be sampled (Fruland, Bates, and Lundgren 1989b). The specific conductance measurement on March 9 before the well was rehabilitated was 606 ~hos; on March 14 after the well was rehabilitated, the measurement was 607 ~hos.…”

Water-table maps for each month are shown in Figures 6.2, 6.3, and 6.4 (PNL !988c, 1988d;Fruland, Bates, and Lundgren 1989b;Smith, Bates, and Lundgren 1989). In May and June the ground-water mound under the 1324-N/NA facility decreased and was obscured by the larger ground-water mound developed under the nearby 1325-N LWDF (see Section 8.0, on 1325-N LWDF).…”

“…Trichloroethane, with a maximum contaminant level (MCL) of 5 ppb, was reported at about 20 ppb throughout the year in ~1ell 399-1-168, and reported to 21 ppb for the first time in the December sample for well 399-1-16C, (Fruland, Bates, and Lundgren 1989b). Carbon tetrachloride (tetrachloromethane), with an MCL of 5 ppb, was reported at 5 ppb once in background well 2.10 399-8-2 and once at 6 ppb in background well 399-1-18A.…”
