Abstract:This paper targets multicast packet scheduling over cellular networks like High Speed Downlink Packet Access (HSDPA). The salient benefit of multicast is to avoid clogging up the air interface with redundant data transmissions. When allocating resources to users of a system, it should be aimed at fulfilling QoS requirements instead of only providing fairness or maximizing the system throughput. This paper addresses QoS-based scheduling for multicast video streaming for which minimum bitrate requirements are pa… Show more

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
