Rapid recovery of poststroke cardiac autonomic dysfunction: Causes to be considered

Abstract: Background and purpose Acute stroke frequently causes cardiovascular–autonomic dysfunction (CAD). Studies of CAD recovery are inconclusive, whereas poststroke arrhythmias may wane within 72 h.
