Abstract:The alkaloid psilocybin (4-phosphoryloxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) and the neurologically active psilocin (4-hydroxy-N,N-dimethyltryptamine) are the foremost compounds of pharmaceutical interest in Psilocybe mushrooms.
