“…Raoultella ornithinolytica and planticola strains are recorded as molybdate-reducing bacteria for the first time in this study. A Raoutella species was recently recorded as an iron-reducing and uranium-precipitating strain by Sklodowska et al (2018). Pramanik et al (2016) stated that Raoutella is useful in bioremediation of Cr(VI) in Crcontaminated agricultural soil and it might also enhance plant growth promotion.…”

“…strains X13 [34] and SM1 [35] Delftia sp. BAs29 [36] and Delftia acidovorans [37] have all shown resistance along with metal reduction or biosorption capacity on cadmium, uranium, arsenate, and gold, respectively. In this study, however, these bacteria isolates Stenotrophomonas (A1 LY), Raoultella (Isolates 4 and 5), Achromobacter (Isolate 6), Delftia (A3SWS), and Cupriavidus (C3 SD) demonstrated very low resistance to the tested metals especially under combined acidic and metal-containing (i.e., copper, iron, and zinc) experimental conditions.…”

“…The roles of Raoultella spp. in degrading some pollutants, such as pesticides [ 19 ] or uranium [ 20 ], have been examined by many researchers. Our goal in this study was to identify local metal-resistant microorganisms and characterize the mechanisms of metal uptake by transmission electron microscope and EDS.…”
