Random Fields, Nonparametric Methods

Abstract: An overview is given of nonparametric methods in random fields including estimation of the density, the autocovariance, the specrum, and nonlinear additive models. The difference between expanding domain asymptotics and infill asymptotics is highlighted. Throughout the article similarities and differences relative to time series modeling are pinpointed.
