“…Though one of the major difficulties associated with studying the spectroscopy of acetates is the large amount of variation in the reported literature [5]. In recent years there has been spectral data published on Mg, Ni, Co, Na and many other metal acetates [1, [6][7][8] though limited data has been published on calcium acetate. One of the reasons for this is the lack of suitable samples.…”

“…In 480-510 cm −1 , O-C-O in-plane rocking vibration ( 11 ) clearly shows that all acetate ions were not participated in the coordination of iron atoms both as-prepared ferrous acetate and ferrous acetate (99%, reference) (Frost and Kloprogge, 2000). Depending on the environment of acetate ions, the C-C stretching vibration ( 4 ) of acetate ion has been resolved into three different absorption at 930 cm −1 (free acetate ion), 939 cm −1 (monoacetato complexes), and 947 cm −1 (bisacetato complex) (Nickolov et al, 1996;Frost and Kloprogge, 2000).…”
