“…1(d) The values of δ obtained for Bi2201 from the fitting are plotted as a function of p in the top panel of Fig. 3, where they are compared with results for LSCO [27,31,32] and YBCO [28,29]. We find that δ ≈ p in Bi2201, which appears to be quantitatively identical to LSCO and qualitatively similar to YBCO.…”

“…The occurrence of stripe order, with a characteristic wave vector Q c , lowers the translational symmetry and leads to the appearance of extra lines both in the xx and xy spectra. Low-temperature scans in the xy geometry reveal also two wide bands that were in-terpreted as two-magnon excitations within the antiferromagnetic domains and across the domain walls [11,[20][21][22]. Phonon and two-magnon excitations are superposed on top of a significant electronic background that changes its shape with changing temperature.…”

“…Raman scattering spectra of La Sr NiO 2 4 -x x (x = 1/3, 0.225) and La 2 NiO 4.125 in the xx and xy scattering geometries are presented elsewhere [11,[20][21][22]. The average symmetry of the lattice is described by space group I4/mmm.…”

“…These bands were interpreted as two-magnon scattering [23,24,26]. What was the reason for this attribution?…”

“…Despite very intense studies in the stripe physics field, it is somewhat surprising that there are only a few Raman scattering (RS) studies of this exotic form of order [12,[23][24][25][26] and some deficiencies in our knowledge of light scattering in striped phases are now evident. For example, under the discussion is the question of RS from spin waves.…”
