Abstract:Rainwater harvesting has proven to be an alternative water supply scheme for sustainable water management of regions with limited water resources. In this paper, a linear programming (LP) model with daily time steps, which minimizes a rooftop rainwater harvesting system (RWHS) cost, is developed and used to calculate the optimum RWH tank size.
