Rainfall analysis in relation to rice crop for Jaintia Hills district of Meghalaya

Abstract: The long term rainfall data for Sali rice season (June-November) of Jaintia Hills district, Meghalaya has been analyzed to estimate expected weekly rainfall at various probability levels. Based on expected rainfall at 50 and 75% probability levels and water requirement, a crop calendar for Sali rice has been prepared for the district. The calendar is assumed to be applicable for the whole district irrespective of terrain differences as rice is mostly grown in comparatively plain lands in bunded condition. 22nd… Show more

“…In the case of bean diseases, some Trichoderma species have been shown to inhibit development of Rhizoctonia solani and to reduce the effects of this pathogen on plant growth (Mayo-Prieto et al, 2015;Mayo-Prieto et al, 2020a). Furthermore, Trichoderma species have also been used to control nematode and insect pests (Goswami et al, 2008;Rodrıǵuez-Gonzaĺez et al, 2017).…”

“…In view of their extremely small crystallite dimensions (typically 1-100 nm) they are structurally characterized by a large volume fraction of interfaces which normally leads to an improvement in variety of their properties. For example, the nanocrystalline forms have been reported to exhibit increased strength/hardness, improved soft magnetic properties, superior catalytic activity, superior oxidation/corrosion resistance with respect to their amorphous forms and conventional coarsegrained materials [41][42][43][44]. There are several methods to produce nanocrystalline materials, e.g.…”
