An enterprise framework based on the philosophy research approach to Information System (IS) features a holistic view in an industry that allows room for technological advancement, an industry with increasing expectations and demands for IS drives towards a more integrated framework and rethinking of the concept of delivering insightful outcomes. The specific features of IS in this study focus on the information criteria for the daily assignment of the railway industry operations through an industry enterprise framework. The study objective is to provide a comprehensive understanding of emerging knowledge from structuring IS and enterprise framework stages and their mashup characteristics in designing a model-driven development framework. The outcome will be a design of a strategic performance framework for a typical strategic performance application as the most vital outcome indicators, to focus on understanding the baseline of technology revolution (Industry Revolution 5.0) achievement to measure the transformation expected and the railway industry evaluation, based on the year-on-year target will be established. The usage of decision-making systems and strategic applications has increased massively to fulfill various kinds of purposes for organizations, businesses, and individuals. In this case, a high-quality decision-making system and strategic application are required to ensure it provides the intended functionalities.

This study aimed to examine the effect of integrating Business Intelligence (BI) into the supply chain on supply chain agility, within the Jordanian manufacturing sector. Based on the resource-based view of the firm, this study developed and examined a research model, to achieve its goal. The impact of three dimensions of BI including managerial, technical, and cultural competencies was examined. Using an electronic questionnaire, data was gathered from 462 administrative personnel and employees. Structural equation modeling techniques were employed to analyze the data. Results revealed that the three dimensions of BI have statistically significant positive direct effects on supply chain agility. In addition to that, the results revealed that BI cultural competence has statistically significant positive direct effects on BI technical and managerial competencies. This study contributes to the literature on the role of BI in promoting supply chain agility, from the perspective of a developing country. The findings of this study are expected to help organizations' administrations in making better decisions regarding employing BI to achieve an agile supply chain.

PurposeKnowledge management (KM) significantly affects supply chain management (SCM) and its performance in today's highly competitive corporate climate. It is crucial to consider this relationship to achieve optimal supply chain performance (SCP). This study aims to assess this impact by defining and examining the multi-dimensional relationships between KM Process Elements (KMPEs) and SCP Evaluation Criteria (SCPEC) within a comprehensive theoretical framework.Design/methodology/approachIntegrating KMPEs and SCPEC becomes an uncertain decision-making problem due to data deficiency and the vagueness of decision-makers’ judgments. To address uncertainties, this study uses interval-valued neutrosophic (IVN) sets and proposes an IVN model consisting of SWARA, which is one of the effective multi-criteria decision-making (MCDM) approaches, and house of quality (HOQ) methods. IVN-SWARA is used to weight the SCPEC while IVN-HOQ establishes relationships and prioritizes the KMPEs and SCPEC.FindingsThe results show that reliability is the most significant SCP evaluation criterion. Among the KMPEs, capitalization, sharing, and transfer exhibit stronger associations with the SCPEC compared to the other elements. Capitalization as one of the KMPEs was found to be the most critical one, and efficiency is the criterion most affected by all elements of the KM process.Originality/valueThis study uses innovative methodologies to evaluate the adoption of KM processes on SCP under uncertain environments and involving multi-decision-makers. The proposed integrated model demonstrates flexibility and practicality in combining KM and SCM, leading to improved SCP. Notably, this study presents the development of IVN-SWARA and the use of the integrated IVN-SWARA - IVN-HOQ decision tool, which are novel contributions to the existing literature.
