Aiming at the development of a modern power grid and the demand for automatic maintenance, a robot safety inspection system is designed for large converter stations based on infrared temperature measurement and robot technology. The system consists of a terminal detection layer, network transmission layer, and client receiving layer. Its control software provides information processing functions including monitoring preview, video playback, user information configuration, etc. After the preset position of the inspection robot is set, the system can automatically control the robot to capture and record the image of the power equipment in the converter station at a fixed time interval set the path, and transmit it to the background software for temperature data analysis, defect location, curve display and alarm. Through the experiment and test analysis in a converter station, the results show that the system has a stable operation effect, can operate normally in four modes of manual inspection, daily inspection, detailed inspection, and server hosting, and has strong anti-interference ability, which meets the expected design requirements.
