Abstract:Multi-slice computed tomography and bronchoscopy are considered primary methods for the diagnosis and localization of hemoptysis and the evaluation of the bronchial and pulmonary vascular systems. Bronchial artery embolization is a minimally invasive procedure that either serves as a first-line treatment option for hemoptysis or prepares the patient for surgery. The aim of this article is to summarize the radiological evaluation of hemoptysis and bronchial artery embolization.
