Radiographic imaging procedures in the diagnosis of the major central neuropathological consequences of alcohol abuse

Abstract: Excessive consumption of alcohol is well recognized to have specific neurologic sequelae. The MRI and CT findings in these syndromes is presented and correlated with pathological findings and suspected pathogenesis. The role of imaging in both the diagnosis and monitoring of patients is discussed.
