Radioactivity mapping of beach sand by mobile in situ gamma-ray spectrometry

Abstract: A new method for prompt radioactivity mapping of beach sand is under development. It is based on mobile in situ gamma-ray spectrometry exploiting low- and medium-resolution portable scintillator systems.
