Radio tracer studies of metal-metal ion exchange

Abstract

If a metal specimen is placed in an aqueous solution containing its own cation and an inert anion, exchange between the solid metal and the metal ion in solution can be followed by introducing a radioactive isotope of the metal under consideration into either the solution or the solid.
