Radiative Auger spectra of several K and Ca compounds

Abstract: K-MM radiative Auger (RA) spectra have been measured for several compounds containing K and Ca. Transition energies are evaluated by the use of various sources: the DV-X α calculation, term values from optical spectroscopy, and L-MM Auger energies. It is shown that the DV-X α calculation is very useful in the understanding of RA spectra; calculated transition energies agree well with observed ones as well as those estimated from optical data, giving an unambiguous assignment for the observed spectra. On the ot… Show more

“…The first column of the table lists all KMM shake-up RA dipole transitions allowed by the selection rules proposed by Bloch [1] and Aberg [7]. The energies of the corresponding transitions calculated with the DV-Xα for solid [10] and radiative field methods for atomic Ca [12] are given in the 3rd and 4th column, respectively. Finally, the RA edge energies derived in [24] from the LMM Auger transition energies reported by Larkins [47] are also listed (5th column).…”
