“…Treatment for paragangliomas is accomplished by surgery, radiation therapy (RT), or stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS). The possibility of cure with any of these 3 options is excellent in appropriately selected patients . Treatment depends on several factors, including the location and extent of the tumor, patient age and health, the anticipated morbidity of the treatment alternatives, and preferences of the patient and physician.…”

“…Glomus tumors (GT) of the temporal bone were first described in 1945 by Rosenwasser (1). These relatively rare tumors are primarily treated with microsurgery, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), or combined therapy (2,3). For glomus tympanicum tumors, surgery is often the preferred management method as these tumors are smaller and surgical excision generally offers complete relief.…”

“…There was control of tumor growth despite the lack of noticeable effect on principal cells. 26 In patients over 60 years old and at high risk in relation to anesthesia, this may be the treatment of choice. Such a choice is based exclusively on clinical experience and can be justified by the insidious behavior of the disease.…”
