Abstract:Optical trapping and manipulating of micron-sized particles have attracted enormous interests due to the potential applications in biotechnology and nanoscience. In this work, we investigate numerically and theoretically the radiation forces acting on a Rayleigh dielectric particle produced by beams generated by Gaussian mirror resonator (GMR) in the Rayleigh scattering regime. The results show that the focused beams generated by GMR can be used to trap and manipulate the particles with both high and low index… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
