Rabi frequency and nonlinear optical response of semiconductor carbon nanotubes

Abstract: The nonlinear optical response of semiconductor single-walled carbon nanotubes excited by a strong laser field in a two-band approximation, applying a nonperturbative method based on the numerical solutions of quantum kinetic equations has been studied. The density matrix equations including the Rabi frequency were derived from the Schrödinger equation, and then the high harmonic generation spectra were calculated by Fourier transforming the induced current density for nanotubes.
