Proficiency in vocabulary is a crucial skill for engineering students as it facilitates comprehension of engineering manuals and other literature predominantly composed in English. The efficacy of the classical method in enhancing vocabulary proficiency is regarded as leading to the development of an android-based Quizlet application as a potential solution to address this issue. This study aims to examine students’ perceptions regarding the effectiveness of Quizlet as a self-study tool for enhancing their proficiency in Engineering English vocabulary. The research utilized a quantitative descriptive methodology. The study employed questionnaires administered through Google Forms as the primary instruments. These questionnaires were distributed to twenty-five students enrolled in Mechanical Engineering program at Banjarmasin State Polytechnic. The present study employed a descriptive approach to analyze the data, utilizing the Likert scale as a measurement tool. According to the study’s findings, it has been established that most students exhibit a favorable reaction toward using the Quizlet application. Approximately 48.7% of the respondents’ answers agreed with each posed question, while a mere 1.4% expressed a strong disagreement. The findings indicate that using the Quizlet application as a learning tool on the Android platform can potentially enhance vocabulary retention.

Legal English vocabulary acquisition is considered one of the most intriguing topics in English for specific purposes learning due to its distinctive features related to the legal field. Yet, this area has not received adequate attention from learners in determining the effective techniques to boost the legal English vocabulary learning process. Therefore, this study concentrated on clarifying English majors' attitudes towards Quizlet utilization in their legal English vocabulary acquisition in the context of legal English courses at Hanoi Law University, Vietnam. In order to achieve the ultimate purpose, the study adopted both quantitative and qualitative approach with the main data collection instruments of survey questionnaires and semi-structured interview to get insight into the situation. The study provided several remarkable findings, which were consistent with the empirical ones in the literature. Specifically, it is apparently indicated that while a large number of students found Quizlet stimulating and effective, others were still not familiar with this application in learning legal English vocabulary. In the light of these findings, it is highly recommended that both English majors and lecturers in law institutions apply and incorporate Quizlet into the learning and teaching process to enhance legal English vocabulary acquisition.

The informatics learning process so far has yet to be completely effective. causing students' abilities and learning outcomes to be low. This research aims to develop interactive learning multimedia products in junior high schools to improve students' cognitive abilities. This type of research is development research. The model used to create products is Alessi and Trollip, which consists of 1) planning, 2) design, and 3) development. Product testing consists of alpha and beta tests, used to determine the level of product feasibility, and effectiveness tests, used to determine the level of product effectiveness on students' cognitive learning outcomes. The product alpha test, product beta test and effectiveness test involved 30 students. To collect data using interviews, observations, questionnaires and tests. The data that has been collected is then analyzed using qualitative descriptive methods. The research results, namely the results of product testing in the alpha test, rated this multimedia in the very feasible category with an average score of 3.75 by media experts and 3.50 by material experts. The beta test results also placed this multimedia in the very doable category with an average score of 3.68 and a Gain score of 0.725, included in the High criteria. It was concluded that interactive learning multimedia is suitable for use in learning. The use of interactive multimedia learning information materials can significantly increase students' learning motivation and cognitive learning achievements.
