Quantum state tomography, entanglement detection and Bell violation prospects in weak decays of massive particles

Abstract: A rather general method for determining the spin density matrix of a multiparticle system from angular decay data in presented. The method is based on a Bloch parameterisation of the d-dimensional generalised Gell-Mann representation of ρ and exploits the associated Wigner-and Weyl-transforms on the sphere. Each parameter of a (possibly multipartite) spin density matrix can can be measured from a simple average over an appropriate set of experimental angular decay distributions. The general procedures for both… Show more

“…In particular, as discussed in section (5), we have paid attention to devise a BRST invariant framework for the study of the violation of the CHSH inequality in the case of gauge theories, taking as explicit example the U (1) Higgs model [51]. We highlight that the setup presented in section (5) generalizes as well to the case of the non-Abelian SU (2) model [41,40,39,38,37,36], a feature which might lead to a Quantum Field Theory investigation of the CHSH inequality in the electroweak theory, a subject of great phenomenological and experimental interest, see [52] and refs. therein.…”

“…As we have seen, the Dirac spinors seem to be the natural quantum fields to be employed in the construction of GHZ-like states in Quantum Field Theory, Eqs. ( 33), (34). For instance, Dirac spinors can be employed to construct the squeezing operator…”
