Abstract:Abstract. Quantum lattice algorithms originated with the Feynman checkerboard model for the onedimensional Dirac equation. They offer discrete models of quantum mechanics in which the complex numbers representing wavefunction values on a discrete spatial lattice evolve through discrete unitary operations. This paper draws together some of the identical, or at least unitarily equivalent, algorithms that have appeared in three largely disconnected strands of research. Treated as conventional numerical algorithms… Show more
scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
