We discuss complete theory of spin-1/2 electron-positron quantum plasmas, when electrons and positrons move with velocities mach smaller than the speed of light. We derive a set of two fluid quantum hydrodynamic equations consisting of the continuity, Euler, spin (magnetic moment) evolution equations for each species. We explicitly include the Coulomb, spin-spin, Darwin and annihilation interactions. The annihilation interaction is the main topic of the paper. We consider contribution of the annihilation interaction in the quantum hydrodynamic equations and in spectrum of waves in magnetized electron-positron plasmas. We consider propagation of waves parallel and perpendicular to an external magnetic field. We also consider oblique propagation of longitudinal waves. We derive set of quantum kinetic equations for electron-positron plasmas with the Darwin and annihilation interactions. We apply the kinetic theory for the linear wave behavior in absence of external fields. We calculate contribution of the Darwin and annihilation interactions in the Landau damping of the Langmuir waves. We should mention that the annihilation interaction does not change number of particles in the system. It does not related to annihilation itself, but it exists as a result of interaction of an electron-positron pair via conversion of the pair into virtual photon. A pair of the non-linear Schrodinger equations for electron-positron plasmas including the Darwin and annihilation interactions. Existence of conserving helicity in electron-positron quantum plasmas of spinning particles with the Darwin and annihilation interactions is demonstrated. We show that annihilation interaction plays an important role in quantum electron-positron plasmas giving contribution of the same magnitude as the spin-spin interaction.

The high‐frequency part of the dispersion dependence of electromagnetic waves propagating parallel to the external magnetic field in the plasma is considered. The plasma is macroscopically motionless, but has relativistic temperatures T∼mec2$$ T\sim {m}_e{c}^2 $$, where me$$ {m}_e $$ is the electron rest mass and, c$$ c $$ is the speed of light. The analysis is based on a novel hydrodynamic model based on four equations for the recently developed material fields (Andreev, Phys. Scr., 2022, 97, 085602). These material fields are the concentration, velocity field, average reverse relativistic γ$$ \gamma $$ factor, and the flux of the reverse relativistic γ$$ \gamma $$ factor. In the nonrelativistic regime, there are three transverse waves (the ions are motionless). In this study, we trace the charge of these properties under the influence of relativistic effects. Strong thermal effects lead to a coefficient in front of the cyclotron frequency, which decreases its effective contribution of the cyclotron frequency. At T=0.1mec2$$ T=0.1{m}_e{c}^2 $$, we have a decrease in the existence area of the fast magneto‐sound wave from the area of large frequencies. However, the existence area of extraordinary waves becomes larger at smaller frequencies. In the strong magnetic field limit ∣Ωe∣>ωLe$$ \mid {\Omega}_e\mid >{\omega}_{Le} $$, an additional wave appears with a frequency below the thermally decreased cyclotron frequency, where ∣Ωe∣$$ \mid {\Omega}_e\mid $$ is the electron cyclotron frequency, and ωLe$$ {\omega}_{Le} $$ is the Langmuir frequency. A further increase in the temperature leads to the disappearance of fast magneto‐sound waves and to a considerable increase in the existence area of the extraordinary waves towards smaller frequencies.

ABSTRACT:The quantum distribution function is derived to reach an accordance with quantum hydrodynamics and to conserve quantum properties of the system. This distribution function, when calculating statistical averages, leads to correct local values of the fundamental physical quantities; and the local conservation laws of the microscopic quantum hydrodynamics can be obtained from such statistics by passing to mathematical expectatives. The equation for the one-particle distribution function generates the many-particle distribution functions. Then, the BBGKY hierarchy equations are obtained. The one-particle statistical operator of a system of fermions in the local equilibrium at arbitrary temperatures is calculated. The dynamics of local hydrodynamic functions (chemical potential, hydrodynamic velocity, and temperature) completely determine the dynamics of the one-particle statistical operator. The quantum hydrodynamic equations for the proton-neutron system at low temperatures are obtained from the equation for one-particle distribution function.
