Abstract:There are mainly two efficient constructing methods for quantum codes, the construction named after Calderbank, Shor and Stean, and the hermitian code construction. We compare two methods in quantum cyclic codes and quantum duadic codes separately, and show that the hermitian code construction is better in terms of existence conditions of codes and the code parameters.Keywords-nonbinary quantum code; hermitian code construction; quantum cyclic code; quantum duadic code.

scite is a Brooklyn-based organization that helps researchers better discover and understand research articles through Smart Citations–citations that display the context of the citation and describe whether the article provides supporting or contrasting evidence. scite is used by students and researchers from around the world and is funded in part by the National Science Foundation and the National Institute on Drug Abuse of the National Institutes of Health.
