From the rst hopper towards the third hop per, that is, as the particles of y ashes decreased in size, the content of glassy phase increased, while the amount of aquartz decreased. When the boiler was operated at full load in comparison with operating at half load, the content of glassy phase was greater. The chemical compositions of the glassy phase showed a tendency in Al 2 O 3 increase, while SiO 2 decreased as the particles size became smaller.
