Abstract: Since 1947, when GARDNER and WEISER (1947) succeeded in isolating the first mycobacterial phage from soil, quite a lot ofauthors (HAUDUROY and ROSin the study of phages attacking mycobacteria. Only in 1954, FROMAN and BOGEN (1954) were the first to have discovered a phage invading also Mycobacterium horninis and bovis.The special communications concerning the mycobacteriophage vital manifestations, e . g . phage-host interaction, sensitivity t o different factors of the environment etc., are sporadic.
