Quantitative Determination of Ephedrine Hydrochloride in Pharmaceutical Injections by Highly Sensitive Turbidimetric and Reversed-Phase Combined with UFLC Methods

Abstract: In this paper, turbidimetric and reversed-phase ultra-fast liquid chromatography (UFLC) methods were described for the quantitative determination of ephedrine hydrochloride in pharmaceutical injections form. The first method is based on measuring the turbidimetric values for the formed yellowish white precipitate in suspension status in order to determine the ephedrine hydrochloride concentration. The suspended substance is formed as a result of the reaction of ephedrine hydrochloride with phosphomolybdic acid… Show more

“…It plays a vital role in patient safety, pharmacological research, and the overall management of healthcare. Therefore, a series of methods have been developed for the determination of various drugs, including ow injection, [14][15][16] turbidity, [17][18][19] solid phase extraction, 20 HPLC, 21 electrochemistry 22 and spectrophotometry. 23,24 Inspired by these revolutionary works, a team of procient scientists and researchers has successfully developed a colorimetric assay using AuNPs, enabling the swi detection of bagonists.…”

“…The inclusion of “hydrochloride” in the compound’s name signifies that it exists in the form of its hydrochloride salt. This method is frequently employed in the pharmaceutical industry to facilitate the preparation of certain medications or chemical compounds for medicinal purposes (Alminshid et al 2022 ; Jeber 2019 ; Zheng et al 2013 ).…”

“…However, there has not been improvement or development in the selectivity of mebeverine hydrochloride sensing and still suffering from the interferences. A flow injection technique based on turbidity principle method is a powerful method and has been used for determining lots of pharmaceutically active ingredients in pharmaceutical formulations 40,41 Till to date and based on the scientific literature, analysis of the MbH in pure and pharmaceutical preparations using flow injection technique based on turbidity detection has not been reported. The proposed method could selectively determine MbH in the commercial dosage forms without prior separation.…”
