Quantitative analysis of pixel crosstalk in AMOLED displays

Abstract: The resolution of organic light-emitting diode (OLED) displays is increasing steadily as these displays are adopted for mobile and virtual reality (VR) devices. This leads to a stronger pixel crosstalk effect, where the neighbors of active pixels unintentionally emit light due to a lateral electric current between the pixels. Recently, the crosstalk was quantified by measuring the current flowing through the common hole transport layer between the neighboring pixels and comparing it to the current through the … Show more

“…Second, integration capacity with external components needs to be tackled for system developments. 63,64 As well explained by Gao et al, 8 a truly mobile technology requires smart power management and advanced data processing in addition to efficient biointerfacing, ideally available on a standalone platform. In this regard, advances in thin-film energy harvesting devices (eg, solar cells, piezo/tribo/thermoelectric generators) have shown promising results, including a demonstration of the self-powered in vivo recording of cardiac signal enabled by integrated stretchable photovoltaics.…”

“…In order to convert color gamut of an OLED display to the standard gamut, a mathematical panel model is needed to predict output luminance of an OLED panel. [4] Especially, as CGM function is required to be applied to individual panels produced in a factory, a precise panel model is necessary to reduce the time consumed for CGM. [5] There are several methods had been proposed previously, but most of them dealt with CGM lightly because they focused on effective Color Space Converter (CSC) implementation methods.…”
