“…The use of this method allows one to study pharma cokinetics and metabolic ways of medicinal drugs. 1- 5 6 Nitro 1,2,4 triazolo[5,1 c] [1,2,4]triazin 7 one de rivatives belong to the new class of compounds possessing antiviral activity. 6,7 A special role in this series plays the drug "triazavirine" 1 (TZV) , which is now in the second phase of clinic testing and proved efficient against differ ent strains of the flu virus, including the H5N1 strains (bird flu virus).…”

“…The first assay involved HPLC with UV detection and this method was refined both to reduce its limit of quantification and to improve its general applicability to a number of related drugs. The greater sensitivity needed for early human studies and the need simultaneously to determine plasma levels of both deuterated and nondeuterated saquinavir in bioequivalence studies (2) necessitated the development of an HPLC/ MS/MS analytical method (3). Finally, a radioimmunoassay was developed in order to provide a sensitive and cost-effective procedure for the routine analysis of HIVpositive samples with reduced sample handling.…”

“…Finally, a radioimmunoassay was developed in order to provide a sensitive and cost-effective procedure for the routine analysis of HIVpositive samples with reduced sample handling. This paper discusses the HPLC/UV and immunochemical assays; the mass spectral method has been reported previously (3).…”

“…PIs are usually analyzed by HPLC with UV detection, either as single analytes, using isocratic separation [10 20], or, more rarely, in multiple drug determinations, using isocratic separation [21 25] or gradient elution [26 29]. A few of them used liquid chromatography-mass spectrometry (LC-MS) [25] [30,31]. For biological sample preparation, various procedures have been used: protein precipitation with acetonitrile [13,17], liquid-liquid extraction (LLE) [10,11,14,16,18,20,21,25] and solid-phase extraction (SPE) [12, 15, 19, 22 24, 26 28].…”
