Quality Status of Southern Lake Michigan

Abstract: Since 1969 there has been a measurable and continued improvement in water quality of Lake Michigan at Chicago, resulting in consider able reduction in difficulty and cost of water treatment. Most of the measured parameters of water quality shared in this improvement.
