Quality of life assessment of patients with metastatic lung cancer receiving plantinium-based chemotheraphy

Abstract: Approximately 85% of patients with lung cancer are diagnosed at an advanced stage that is not amenable to surgical intervention. For patients with stage metastatic non small cell lung carcinoma (NSCLC) or extensive-stage small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC) the 5 year survival rate may be less than 1% (10).
