Quality of Broiler Chicken Meat With the Addition of Chelated Compounds of Microelements to the Diet

Abstract: At present, the current direction in poultry farming is the development of methods for raising poultry without the use of antibiotics to overcome antibiotic resistance. For this purpose, it is recommended to use mineral supplements of chelated forms of microelements of zinc, copper, and manganese in poultry diets. Chelated minerals are characterised by better digestibility during intensive broiler farming, which limits the use of minerals and reduces environmental pollution. The purpose of the study was to exa… Show more

“…However, the effect of the group size of hens on their body, with cage keeping within the same area, was studied mainly in small groups of hens up to 10 birds or in the experiments used cages of different designs and manufacturers or different systems of hens keeping, which makes it impossible to adequately compare them (Hofmann et al, 2020; Shimmura et al, 2009). In addition, in the vast majority of studies described, markers of stress were productivity, feather pecking and tonic immobility, which do not characterize the physiological state of hens' bodies (Fotina et al, 2022).…”
