Qualidade da água superficial de reservatórios temporários localizados entre a região semiárida e o litoral do Nordeste Brasileiro

Abstract: In Doce River watershed (DRW), Northeast Brazil, there is unplanned occupation, pollution and high water deficit, such factors were aggravated by the drought that started in 2012, which could imply conflicts and social disturbances. The purpose of this work was to analyze physical, chemical and ecotoxicological characteristics in relation to monthly precipitation, soil occupancy and water quality criteria, of samples from eight superficial reservoirs, of two sub basin, in august 2016. In the region studied was… Show more

“…Although there is information on the physico-chemical and biotic components of Brazilian watersheds (ALVES et al 2018;CURADO et al 2017;NOBREGA;MEDEIROS, 2019), there remains a lack of long -term data that could enable an understanding of the gradual changes that take place in these important ecosystems. The present study provides biomonitoring data for the Rio dos Sinos watershed to perform a temporal analysis of water genotoxicity in relation to land use and occupation, number of inhabitants, and habitation quality, as determined by a rapid assessment protocol, for four sub -basins in two monitoring periods.…”
