Quadrupole moments andgfactors for high-spin neutron isomers inPb193

Abstract: The g factors and quadrupole moments of the 21/2 − and 33/2 + isomers in 193 Pb have been measured by the time-differential perturbed γ-ray angular distribution method as g(21/2 −)=-0.059(11), |Q(21/2 −)| = 0.22(2) eb and g(33/2 +)=-0.171(9), |Q(33/2 +)| = 0.45(4) eb. The results support the three-neutron configurations (1i 13/2) 2 12 + ⊗ 3p 3/2 and (1i 13/2) 3 for the 21/2 − and 33/2 + states, respectively. The quadrupole moment of the 12 + isomer in 194 Pb described by the twoneutron (1i 13/2) 2 configuratio… Show more

“…No experimental data exist for the 16 − shears bandheads. However, recently the quadrupole moment of the 29/2 − shears state in 193 Pb was measured [17], The calculated deformation parameters ε 2 and γ are given in Tables III and IV, respectively. The quadrupole deformations are small, typically lying around ε 2 = −0.1, and remain almost constant within the bands.…”
