Abstract: Les territoires et leurs habitants sont l’objet de toute une palette d’expérimentations. Mais il y a un curieux paradoxe : d’un côté, la particularité des sciences sociales serait que le « terrain » y aurait remplacé « l’expérimentation » ; d’un autre, les demandes de financement, articles et thèses insistent de plus en plus sur leur caractère « expérimental ».
