Pyrogenic Specificity of Streptococcal Exotoxins, Staphylococcal Enterotoxin, and Gram-Negative Endotoxin

Abstract: Streptococcal exotoxin and staphylococcal enterotoxin share several biological properties, including pyrogenicity, lymphocyte mitogenicity, and enhancement of gram-negative endotoxin lethality. These analogies of the toxins prompted comparative pyrogenic studies.
