Pyridinetrihalogenometallate anions, pyMX3, of cobalt(II), nickel(II), and zinc(II)

Abstract: Salts containing pyMX,-and picMX,-(py = pyridine, pic = ct-picoline) anionshave been prepared forcobalt, nickel, and zinc (X = CI, Br, or I). The spectra, conductivities, and magnetic susceptibilities of the salts have been studied and are in accord with the anions having a pseudo-tetrahedral structure about the metal atoms.
