Abstract:Bicyclo[2.1.1]hexanes (BCHs) represent an intriguing class of structurally rigid hydrocarbons that can serve as the bioisosteres of benzenoids in medicinal chemistry. Methods for the synthesis of BCHs are, however, limiting.
