“… MPB effect due to the polarization rotation may lead to enhanced piezoelectric shear strain . Further experiments are therefore highly desired not mentioning that large shear strain is of importance to devices of applications . Moreover, resolving the origins of enhanced piezoelectric properties in ferroelectrics should be cautious as many foregoing complex factors may simultaneously contribute to strain response to external field …”

“…[175] Further experiments [176] are therefore highly desired not mentioning that large shear strain is of importance to devices of applications. [177] Moreover, resolving the origins of enhanced piezoelectric properties in ferroelectrics should be cautious as many foregoing complex factors may simultaneously contribute to strain response to external field. [178] Obviously, it highly demands further developments especially from the aspect of ab initio calculations.…”

“…Liang et al [ 20 ] developed a six-component sensor system with a compact monolithic elastic element to detect the tangential cutting forces as well as the cutting moments simultaneously in the machining processes. Ma et al [ 21 ] used PVDF sensors to pick up the dynamic shear strain produced in the rotating tool during the cutting process. Luo et al [ 22 ] integrated the PVDF thin-film sensors into the index-able tools to measure cutting forces acting on separate insert, the signals are transmitted by a wireless transmitter, and the signals are then used to identify the insert working condition in the milling process.…”

“…Due to the limitations of current wired sensor systems, and in order to reduce the invasion degree of sensor system into the milling or drilling process and increase flexibility, a series of wireless sensor-integrated systems for rotating cutter have been developed [8]- [23], in which the sensors and other electronic components, such as sensor signal processing module, wireless data transfer module, and power supply module, are all integrated into the tool holder. For the key wireless data transfer module, the common technologies, namely Bluetooth [8]- [11], ZigBee [12]- [14], WiFi [15]- [20], Radio frequency identification (RFID) [21] and sub-1 GHz radio frequency [22], [23], have been adopted to transmit the measured condition data wirelessly to a upper host computer. It can be noted that WiFi is the most widely used transmission method for tool condition monitoring, which has the potential to be competitor of other wireless transmission technologies taking into account of its relatively high transmission speed and long transmission distance.…”
