“…At present, it has a broad scope of utilizations in artificial joints and wound dressings [ 114 ]. Ali et al [ 115 ] used a PVA solution to prepare nanofiber mats with Nigella sativa extract deposited by electrospinning. Wound healing analysis results show that the developed PVA-Nigella sativa nanofibrous mat has good wound healing properties and a short recovery time.…”

“…Antibacterial propeties of with and without leaf extract were checked through Agar disc diffusion method (Ali et al, 2021;Hashmi et al, 2020;Kim et al, 2016) against Staphylococcus aureus (S. aureus) gram-psitive and Esherchia coli (E. coli) gram negative bacteria strains. It was observed that the pure SA/ PVA8 nanofibers as shown in Figure 9 showed the lowest antibacterial properties against gram positive bacteria i.e., 16.02mm while it showed moderate inhibition zone of 18.2mm against gram negative bacteria which is higher than SAMA containing nanofibers.…”

“…Based on Ali et al (2020), it had stated about the black seeds extract that had been combined with PVA to produce a nanofibrous mat for wound healing purposes. They had observed that the treatment using the nanofibrous mat indeed showed the wound healed without any infections detected on the wound during the execution of the experiment for seven days.…”

“…This can be observed by the formation of granulation tissue on the wound site that helps increase the production of interleukins. Moreover, the researchers stated that fatty acids from the black seeds in the nano-fibrous mat helped make collagen that can promote the wound healing process (Ali et al, 2020). Besides that, a study used black seeds oil to treat the socket after removing the teeth in rabbits.…”
