“…They presented with unusual distributions and varying histologic findings in regard to the presence or absence of spongiosis and acantholysis. These cases involved isoniazid [44], gefitinib [45], paclitaxel [46], cefazolin [47], and amoxicillin [48]. A case of subcorneal pustules induced by dapsone and quinidine in a patient with known SPD has also been reported [49].…”

“…To date, antibacterials arc the main drug class implica ted in the etiology of AGEP, and arc nearly restricted to (3-lactams, especially ampicillin [2,3], amoxicillin [3,4], cephalosporins [5][6][7][8] or imipenem [9], and to macrolides [10]. On the other hand, nonant ¡bacterial drugs arc rarely considered as responsible for AGEP.…”

“…In our case, the eruption began 10 days after the introduction of nadoxolol and 4 days after stopping roxith romycin. Interestingly, in the previously reported case by Plantin et al [3], the time interval between the first nadoxolol administration and the onset of AGEP was long (several weeks), whereas it is clearly established that this time interval is generally very short (a few hours to 2 days) in AGEP following antibiotic intake [2][3][4][5][6][7][8][9][10], This was a deciding argument for implicating nadoxolol, and not roxithromycin, in our AGEP case. Based upon the current methodology used in France for assessing drug reaction [13], the causality link with nadoxolol was prob able.…”
